Celebrating more than 50 years of Library Friendship!
In 2016, the St. Cloud Friends of the Library celebrated its 50th year helping to support the library system. At its inception in June 1966, the St. Cloud Friends goal was to “revive the library bond issue and perhaps work toward a Tri-County city library. Keeping in mind the need of a new library ever present in the public thinking and constantly remind people of the need for more and better facilities.” Fifty years later, the St. Cloud Friends of the Library continues that vision by serving the community as library advocates and promoting literacy through library usage and affordable book ownership by operating the Friends Bookstore in St. Cloud Minnesota.
